The Design Process- Driving towards your goals
In a collaborative three step process we wil develop a schematic from creative layouts to a technical master plan drawing that encompasses the complete scope of work for your project.
Step One:
- We review your thoughts and desires for the new garden space.
- I do a complete site assessment including photographs and measurements of the site
- I gather the resources and elements needed to bring dreams into reality.
Step Two:
- We review a collection of creative concepts based on your desires and the elements of the site. From there we collaborate on what would work best.
Step Three:
- Review the Master plan which includes:
- A scaled drawing with hardscape and softscape components, materials to be used and a plant catalog for easy reference in the future.
- If Irrigation, Lighting Music or outdoor cooking are in order then "as-builts" will be provided for those elements as well.
Garden Coaching for the Do-it -Yourselfer
I am available year round for in-site consultations to help with those hard to plant places. Do you have a drainage problem or unsightly view? We can strategize that as well. I can help you identify plants and determine their best use. Maybe you can't figure out what's eating your Rhody? I can help diagnose plant health issues. If you want to become self sustaining...I can help you set up your own veggie garden and get you going on vermacomposting or "Interbay" Mulching. Or maybe your landscape has reached maturity and its time to "edit" and make room for appropriate sized plants- I can help stategize that as well.
Estate Management
If you would rather leave the vision and long term maintenance up to me, I am Happy to care for your complete garden needs: including; arranging regular lawn maintenance, irrigation, lighting, sound contractors, specialty arborist, and other garden professionals. I will see to on-going, trouble-free installations, seasonal color and hard or softscape repairs as needed.
Decorative Pots
These works of art are created as "mini-scapes" that offer the owner a power burst of color, texture and fragrance year round. First, I select pots from local importers that will blend with the intended environment. Next, I select appropriate plants for the structure to create year round interest and then finally the color and "skirt". I can do this to last the whole year or seasonally as required.
